Mods to improve throttle response and power?

Just picked up a 2024 carb'd model and I'm pretty sure it's running a bit lean from the factory, I'm not looking to go crazy with mods, just thinking of tossing on a better breather or intake down the road. That said, I'd love to hear what the common go to carb tweaks are right off the bat, specifically things like idle mix, air/fuel screw, or if most people bump up the main jet a size or two. I've got decent wrenching skills and handle all my own bike maintenance, just looking for a real good starting point for better throttle response and power.

Yup, they run lean stock. Back out the air/fuel screw 1.5 to 2 turns, bump the pilot and maybe the main if you're adding a better breather, it'll make a big difference in throttle and heat.

Glad you know that shiz about idle mixture. 2 turns also for that. Then main jet bump it to 130 or 132. Then air fuel agree with @Mr_Incredible. Then for the pilot try larger too.

You can start by adjusting the idle mix and air/fuel screws for a smoother idle and better throttle response. Sum people also up the main jet 1 or 2 sizes if it feels lean. If you're handy, tweak little by little and watch for bogging or hesitation.

Agree with @AirMikey2, you should start with the air/fuel screw and bump the pilot jet one size as it makes a noticeable difference right away. If you're swapping the intake, go up on the main jet too and keep an eye on plug color.
