Nubwiggle with my 2024 TW200

I went on a remarkable journey throughout the Nubwiggle starting from Oregon to Washington (and back because, I need to go home lol). Anyway, such wonderful views of the Wallowa and the Grande Ronde. Also went through the Umatilla Forest and the Blue Mountains. Thank goodness Spring has begun so I was able to do this. My TW200 managed to do all that rugged riding. I'm so proud of it. Which loops have you tried already?

Starting from St. Johns Road just west of the Continental Divide, the ride offered an incredible mix of challenge and reward. The ascent was steady and required focus but the effort paid off as I reached the stretch above 10,000 feet. The road smoothed out beautifully at that elevation making the next few miles a joy to navigate.

The experience was enhanced by the stunning surroundings. The crisp air, expansive views, and rugged terrain created an exceptional atmosphere. With every turn the ride highlighted why this route is so special. It's a journey that perfectly balances the thrill of high altitude riding with the serenity of breathtaking landscapes. If you're planning a ride like this, the smooth section above 10,000 feet is definitely one to look forward to.

nice nice, sure sounds like an awesome trip, the wallowas and the blue mountains must've been epic. I haven't hit those spots yet, but I'm curious about the Umatilla forest loop you mentioned. How did the tw200 handle all that terrain? I've been considering trying out some more rugged routes myself actually

well its built for that kind of terrain, its good you're putting it to work, I've hit the rattlesnake grade loop and out toward Elgin, brutal on the wrists but worth every mile

Last spring, I spent the night camping in Umatilla. I nearly froze my fingers while setting up the tent, but the views I woke up to the next morning made it all worthwhile. My old TW tackled the terrain like a champ.

That actually sounds like a bucket list trip!
I haven't done the Nubwiggle, but if you're looking for another fantastic loop in the region, you should check out the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route (WABDR).
I've been there, and it's a bit more of a challenge but takes you through some of the most stunning parts of the state, from the Cascade Mountains to the desert. The TW200 would handle it without a problem
